Black Pearl is an ultra-saturated quasi-sheener, boasting a rich black base that subtly reveals olive undertones at particular angles, then stretches toward a muted greenish-olive when applied in a thinner layer. Swatch is shown using a cotton swab on Tomoe River paper under fluorescent photography lighting. The extraordinarily high saturation of Black Pearl may make some pens run on the drier side. Adjust your writing experience by adding Dilution Solution until it meets your flow and shading preferences. Expect variation in hue as you dilute. While the dye colorant components of this color are completely water-soluble, regular pen cleaning is recommended and may require extra effort. For best results, wield Black Pearl with a medium point grade or broader nib.
