Hybridized by renowned Hibiscus breeder Graff Breeding, Flora is really something special—and we’re so excited to be able to offer you a sneak peek at this new-for-2026 variety! The first thing If you’re likely to notice about Flora is the size of her flowers. They’re huge! Each blossom can reach more than 7 inches wide. And she reblooms faster than any other large-flowering Tropical Hibiscus we’ve seen, so with good care, you won’t have to wait weeks in between blooms. The flowers are also surprisingly long-lasting. We’ve seen individual flowers last four days in cool weather, compared to a single day from traditional Tropical Hibiscus varieties. Her shiny, dark green foliage is a lovely accent for the blooms. And hummingbirds seem to love her, too!   Order now and we’ll hand-pick your Flora Tropical Hibiscus fresh from the farm and deliver it direct to your door (with no stores or warehouses in between). Shipping and handling is included in the price.          Easy to care for: It blooms all summer long, even in the hottest weather          Huge flowers are creamy white with a soft pink center and some ruffling          Flowers last longer than old-school Tropical Hibiscus          Can be brought indoors over winter and kept from year to year [bio] Plant Bio Hibiscus rosa-sinensis HibisQs® Flora, PPAF A brand-new member of the HibisQs family of Tropical Hibiscus from Graff Breeding (a fourth-generation plant breeder in Denmark), Flora has been bred specifically to provide you with more color thanks to its extra-large and long-lasting flowers. It produces more branches than typical Tropical Hibiscus, allowing it to give you more flowers (because it flowers at the ends of the new growth) and a plant that stays full and lush as it grows.   To keep Flora Tropical Hibiscus growing and blooming happily (and to encourage the biggest flowers) give it a spot in all-day sun or where it gets sun most of the day. Especially in hot-summer climates, Flora does appreciate an hour or two of shade during the hottest part of the day.   While Flora is heat-tolerant, it is not drought-tolerant, so it is important to keep it well watered. Watering daily may be necessary if you grow it in a pot during hot weather. In containers, it’s best to water as the top several inches of the potting mix dry to the touch.   Regularly fertilizing your Tropical Hibiscus will help keep it blooming best. Use a general-purpose fertilizer; Flora doesn’t require a specialized fertilizer product. You can use either a water-soluble fertilizer or a time-release fertilizer (which you only need to use once or twice a year).   Flora Tropical Hibiscus is hardy in USDA Zones 10-11 but can be brought indoors in cold-winter climates and treated as a houseplant if you want to save it from year to year. It does not survive exposure to freezing temperatures. Graff Breeding has applied for a plant patent on Flora, so we’re required to tell you propagation is prohibited.   Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Additionally, exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Grown for ornamental purposes and not intended for human or animal consumption.
