From Galicia, in the northwest of Spain, tucked just above Portugal, comes Nordes Atlantic Gin. After building quite a devoted fan base in Europe, it is finally available in the U.S. The botanicals include many locally sourced ingredients, such as <span data-mce-fragment="1">laurel, sage, eucalyptus leaves, mint, juniper, ginger, black tea, and cardamom. The effect is a big and aromatic gin, with floral and fruity notes throughout. This is partially thanks to the unusual base spirit: a non-neutral distillate of the Albariño grape, which is famed for its bright and almost botanical profile, sometimes compared to Gewurztraminer. It creates a light sweetness on the palate, which is perfectly balanced by the floral notes of the laurel, sage, and eucalyptus. Bottled at 40% abv. </span>
