A key skill of using full aniline leather is the ability to work less desirable areas of the hide into the less visible areas of your projects. The Seidel tannery has been going strong for 75+ years and is one of the few remaining tanneries in the US. They have a ton of experience and are true masters of their craft. The Double Shot is one of our favorite new leathers for its beautiful pull up, smooth finish and buttery hand. This article is full grain and has a nice supple feel with healthy amount of firmness. The grain has a natural beauty and depth to color and contrasting 7 colors.  One of its best attributes is the pullup, this comes from a unique multiple hot wax process that infuses the wax into the leather.  The end result is a beautiful and rich leather that shows its pullup as you open the fibers when folding the leather. Near the belly you can get some really cool contrast in fat wrinkles, the center of the hide is the really clean area. These hides are Seidel's top grade and will give you nice large ares to make bigger projects like totes, bags and duffles.
