The reinforced steel molded in hubs are coated with a proprietary material that forms a chemical bond with the rubber that prevents separation. Most competitors press in the hub after the rubber is molded which will over time, always lead to failure. The 25 lb – 45 lb plates are the standard IWF 450mm in diameter. These bumper plates are slightly darker than our standard colored bumper plates.Our unique and proprietary manufacturing process allows us to produce a bumper that has both higher tensile strength and hardness than competitor plates. This is accomplished by molding with a harder rubber near the core, which prevents the hub from separating and plate wobble over time, and a softer rubber on the outside to act as a buffer deadening the blow and sound from the plate when dropped.
