The blade less than 60cm is categorized as WAKIZASHI apart from "Katana". This is very magnificent and beautiful WAKIZASHI medium-length blade by the smith HAYAMA ENSHIN in Meiji period, 1898. The inscription of the smith name and completion date are engraved on the both side of tang. This quality item is offered from our Yokohama Sword Store. Finished with a beautiful swell (Notare) tempered-pattern line. The blade is registered as Hozon paper "Well Preserved Sword" by NBTHK (Japan Sword Preservation Society) that is given to well-preserved sword with artistic value. The blade comes in a complete antique Toppei style ornate mountings including a Kozuka utility knife.
