The blade less than 60cm is categorized as WAKIZASHI apart from "Katana". This is very magnificent and beautiful WAKIZASHI medium blade from late Edo period in 1800s. Handcrafted by swordsmith KANEMORI, and the inscription of its name engraved on the tang. Originally the blade is guessed to have regular ornate mounting but later another mounting in form of cane called Shikomi-zue was made for the blade. Also a Shirasaya wooden holder comes with.
