Missy is a typical velcro GSP that thinks she’s a lap dog. Her petite agile body makes her the perfect companion for walking, jogging or even just outings with the family. If you’re a hunter, Missy could be the perfect hunting sidekick with some proper training. She has a great nose and natural instinct to hunt.
Missy did have a rough start so she has a bit of anxiety at times but she’s easily redirected with chew toys, squeaky toys and snuggles to assure her she’s safe. She would do great with a family with older children, no small dogs or cats as she does have a high prey drive. She gets along well with other dogs male and female. She is treat motivated, potty trained and walks well on a leash. She does great on car rides and is kennel trained, although, she prefers to free roam and doesn’t chew or destroy things in the house. Missy is Heartworm positive and started treatment. The rescue will continue to cover her treatment until Heartworm negative. She is UTD on vaccines, preventatives and spayed.
