This is your typical whitewash chalk reshaped to a large ball. It has basementy taste with notes of cement. They are soft to bite and melt in your mouth, these have a sandy grit to them and stick to your teeth. I like to put these in a bag with a smokey clay to enhance the cementy flavor (for a few days or more). Chalk will take on whatever flavor you put it with.
Please keep in mind this product comes from the Earth and each batch may vary is taste and texture. To enhance the flavor lightly mist with distilled water and allow to air out for a couple of days. Keep away from perfumes, candles, household cleaners etc. as clay absorbs smells of what's around it. A windowsill is usually a safe place to air out.
