Ideal use is for home décor and is not dishwasher safe. The tray is water-resistant and sealed with an acrylic sealer but spills should be wiped up right away. The underneath may not bubble-free. This is normal and happens when the gypsum is poured. This does not affect the functionality of the tray in any way. You have the option to add either a rubber base, a felt base, or to leave the tray as is for a flush appearance. Each piece is made in small batches and is hand-poured.
