This pair on ankle cuffs were a labour of love and have been made from beginning to end using recycled brass sheet and wire, and also decorated each with a little cast aLoni man face. These ankle cuffs jingle and jangle as you step, stomp, leap, dance, spin! Fastened at the back using fabric from recycled saris.

Jewellery care: BRASS- Brass is more reactive to the elements than fine metals, and can tarnish quickly if not cared for properly. I actually really like how brass is constantly changing, bright and sunshiney one moment, and then antique and warm the next. To avoid tarnish, try to avoid contact with water and chemicals (bleach, perfume, bug spray, sunscreen, etc). This will cause your brass jewellery to oxidize faster. Wearing and touching your brass pieces will actually help prevent tarnish. That's because the natural oils/acids from our skin do help rub off and delay some tarnish. When not in use keep your brass jewellery in a dry and sealed bag/box/space. Obviously it's impossible to avoid contact with water and the air, and you will need to occasionally clean your brass jewellery. You can use ashes from the fire (very fine ash only so not to scratch the jewellery) with a bit of water and a tooth brush. I will also include a small swatch of jewellery polishing cloth which you can use to polish your pieces before wearing.
