Here's a step-by-step guide to using an iron to heat press a DTF (Direct-to-Film) image onto a garment:
1. Prepare Your Garment: Start by selecting a clean garment and ensure it's free of wrinkles. If necessary, iron the garment beforehand for a smooth surface.
2. Protect Your Ironing Surface: Place a heat-resistant pad or fabric on the surface where you'll be working to prevent heat damage.
3. Preheat Your Iron: Turn on your iron and set it to the appropriate temperature based on the fabric type. If unsure, conduct a colorfastness test on a discreet area of the garment. Turn off the steam function, empty water from iron. Set Iron to Cotton 300-350°F
4. Position Your DTF Transfer: Lay your garment on the protected surface with the side for image transfer facing up. Carefully align and center your DTF transfer on the garment.
5. Cover with Parchment Paper: Place a sheet of parchment paper or Teflon sheet over the DTF image to protect it and the iron from direct contact.
6. Apply Heat with Firm Pressure: Press the iron onto the parchment-covered transfer area. Apply firm, even pressure, and move the iron around the entire transfer area for 15 to 30 seconds, depending on the fabric type.
7. Let It Cool: After applying heat evenly, remove the iron and parchment paper. Allow the transfer to cool completely before handling.
8. Peel Off the Film: Once cooled, gently peel off the DTF film from the garment. Take your time to ensure the image adheres properly to the fabric.
9. Final Touch-Up (recommended): Cover the transferred image with the parchment paper and apply pressure with the iron again for an additional 15 seconds.
Following these steps should result in a successful DTF image transfer onto your garment using a home iron.

● Set your heat press machine to 350 F degrees.
● Prepare your shirt for transfer by preheating your shirt to remove any wrinkles.
● Pre-press your garment for 20 seconds to remove any moisture wrinkles of the garment.
● Proceed to heat-press the decal to the shirt with 25 seconds, cover with parchment paper.
● Be sure to let the shirt cool before removing the transfer film.
● NOTE: Cool peel Only. Peel Gently.
● Second press and cover with parchment paper for 10 seconds.
