Working in a palette of neutrals, Ksenia Sizaya's "Caliste" is a study in aging and texture. Using a comb-textured palette knife, Sizaya creates a grid pattern across the canvas. Thick layers build and blend to create texture, while darker shades give the pattern a soft, aged look.
