Together, these depict the wings of Khepri, the scarab-god of Egyptian mythology, his name meaning "to come into existence", himself representing the rising sun, creation, and the renewal of life.  Paired with our custom tension-loaded spring hinge for a luxury-smooth experience, the Peachtree is completed by 145mm-long, genuine ebony wood temples, cultivated from the heartwood of the prized Ebenaceae family of tree species for its darkness, durability, and polish.
