The Holosun SCS Carry is an enclosed emitter solar recharging green dot sight that has a K Series a.k.a Modified RMSc footprint and comes with an RMSc adapter plate. This optic was designed specifically to fit the Sig P365 Optics Ready platform or any other K Series slide, but it will also fit any RMSc cut slide using the included adapter plate.  The “SCS” (Solar Charging Sight) series from Holosun is an innovative design that gives this optic an internal rechargeable battery with a 20K hour power reserve and a solar panel that recharges the battery faster than it consumes power. It's also an enclosed emitter design which ensures nothing will get in between the laser and the glass, giving you extra security and protection against elements like rain, water, dust, mud, snow, etc. The SCS Carry is made out of 7075 T6 Aluminum, it has a green MRS Reticle (multi reticle system), and has a super low profile design. The MRS reticle features a 32 MOA outer ring and a 2 MOA center dot. The SCS Carry has advanced ambient and downrange light sensors. It has an auto brightness setting and a manual override setting in which you can press the side button and get increased brightness for 30 minutes if ever needed. The solar charging tech works like this. The battery stores power, in this case it can store 20K hours of reserve, the solar panel charges the battery. With this system, the solar panel charges the battery faster than the battery drains. This means that you have a theoretically infinite battery life. These optics do not come with “shake awake”, they are intended to remain on all the time - a true set and forget it type of optic. (Although you can turn them off if you like) The battery charges with both natural and artificial light. If you were to go to the range one time per year, that is enough to charge the battery from zero to full. If you were to then put it inside of a safe with zero light, the battery would last for 2 years. If you're looking for a "set it and forget it" style optic that you can mount directly on a a K series or RMSc footprint and want that extra reliability of the enclosed emitter design, then this is the optic for you. This optic has a green reticle. Green has a few benefits: Green reticles are less straining for the eye to see. Green reticles can help with astigmatism. If you have astigmatism you will see a blurry dot, we have been told by a few customers that Green dots help with their astigmatism, making the dot look more crisp than the red version. Green will not washout on backdrops like green grass, foliage, or green colors. In theory Green dots can have a longer battery life because Green is brighter, so for example a green dot on brightness setting 6 may be the same brightness as a red dot on setting 7 - which would save battery life.
