Once you cut the nails to length, the metallic “seal” breaks and tiny imperceptible fractures are created which will lead to the metallic finish chipping with wear and slowly pushing back toward the nail base; however, this actually creates a pretty special look all it’s own- we like to call them “broken mirror”.
