Hi I'm Angie and I'm an NYC based professional jazz vocalist, guitarist, composer, recording artist, and music teacher. I perform regularly throughout New York and work with a local indie/jazz record label. I love teaching- from the for-fun level to the professional level, it is such a joy to help people of all ages see through their goals with music. My teaching style adapts a lot depending on the person- I like to come in with the idea that I'll mold around the student's needs and that can be very relaxed or more structured. My hobbies and interests- I love animals and I volunteer with dog and cat rescue organizations, I knit and crochet, I love taking classes like dance, pottery, and beading, and I have a small dog named Fufu:) I have several years of experience giving one-on-one music lessons to students of various ages including children and adults. I recently taught theater full time in a classroom to 5th-8th grade and also taught math and music classes at the same school. I love working both individually with students as well as in group settings. I love teaching private lessons and tutoring because I believe it is always helpful to have someone to go to with as many questions as you have. It can be hard in the classroom to ask every question you have but tutors are here to create space for that! I've been teaching for 5 years. I teach voice, songwriting, piano, guitar, theater, ukulele, and math. I have experience teaching music to students of ALL ages, I teach people who want to learn for fun AND people who want to pursue music professionally.
