Hello, I'm Nancy, originally from Beijing, China, and currently residing in Las Vegas, NV. I have been in the U.S. since 2010. I have a diverse educational background that includes a degree in landscape design and an M.A. in Art Education. Over the years, I've expanded my expertise by obtaining certifications in Montessori education and another master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My passion for teaching began in 2008 when I started teaching art, Chinese, and English back in China, working with students ranging from 2.5 to 60 years old, at various proficiency levels. I have also had the privilege of assisting two schools with their dual language programs. Currently, I teach Mandarin at an online high school offering curriculums for exams or school credit. When it comes to teaching Chinese, I take a personalized approach. I'm here to help you improve your Chinese pronunciation, writing, and vocabulary. Instead of focusing heavily on grammar, I emphasize the flexibility of the Chinese language. Lessons can be guided by your interests or even integrated with other subjects like Math, providing a holistic learning experience. During our lessons, I create a relaxed environment to facilitate language immersion, making it easier for you to connect with the language.
