The most famous in-shell English walnut is the Hartley. It is a colossal light colored nut, fun to crack, and tasteful right from the shell. These are marvelous to eat with friends around a crackling fire, but people also use them for craft projects around the holidays .... or even as a treat for a beloved pet.
