A stylish vintage metal flip perpetual desk calendar, larger than most and made in England in the early 20th Century. The silver coloured metal calendar has a full complement of month cards and would look fantastic on any desk or table.
When turned, the days flip over in their clever mechanical way with a satisfying 'clunk'. There is a butterfly knob to one side that can be used for turning.
Underneath, there is a space for month cards - all are original and present and include the number of days in each month.
Would say it dates from 1920s (possibly 1930s), the English patent is dated 1925.
It measures 8cm (3 inches) wide by 6cm (2¼ inches) deep and it stands 10cm (4 inches) high.
It weighs 260g (9¼oz).
The flip numbers all work well and condition overall is very good vintage condition. The metal is still largely clean and shiny. All month cards are present, although one (March/April) has lost a small part. Overall, a nice vintage example.
This would have looked fantastic gracing a desk back in the mid 20th century, and now it could grace yours...
