Taking old buildings down we sometimes come across old boxes. Some medical and some just old tool boxes. We started collecting the boxes wondering what to do with them. Till one night we saw a friend get that call from another friend. That phone call of hey can you come over. She went home started trying to gather glasses and a bottle together. To go over and do what any friend does when a friend had in their case a bad date. You go over sit and drink and cheer them up. That night these boxes came to us. Let's build a kit that holds all these things. Sense then we have come up with 3 main versions. This is our Ammo Can version of the perfect gift. (We also have a Vintage and Tool Box version) This boxes comes with the tool box itself, along with the wood insert, and glasses. This box can either come with 2 shot glasses or 2 whiskey glasses.
All our insert are made from old growth pine. One reason is the smoothness of the wood, but also because it is a softer wood that holds up well. The wood also is gentle on the glasses and bottles. The grains that comes out threw our process of staining and clearing is really beautiful. We like to give the wood some color and give the boxes some contrast from the bottles. The glasses that come with the box are specifically picked for these boxes. We have tested many glasses to make sure to not only feel good in the hand, but also are good quality glass.
