The use of a 24.5″ scale length emphasizes the mid frequencies and tames some of the shrill highs often associated with this style of guitars. You still get the twang and bite but it’s much warmer and fuller than you’re used to. The short scale also gives you looser strings, that means easier playing and you can use heavier gauge strings to get a bigger sound while still retaining great playability.To get the classic T twang we opted for a vintage correct thin steel bridge plate, compensated brass saddles and a hand wound pickup with a healthy midrange bite and balanced highs and lows.
