Pros will say that if you only own one knife, it should be a chef’s knife. Because it magically minces the smallest clove of garlic as beautifully as it halves the toughest squash. Some of us, especially those with smaller hands, will be much happier with this slightly smaller take, which is a bit easier to control but every bit as effective. It’s a staff fave.
