HOW DOES THE MAGNETIC MINI VOICE-ACTIVATED RECORDER WORK?
One button activation. Thats it. Turn the device on, and the recording will begin. You can engage the voice-activation feature with or without the software. You can use the control unit that comes with the unit. Just turn on the device while connected to the controller and press the stop button to activate voice activation. Now, when the device is flicked on to record, it will only record when sound is heard.
The time and date can be set up on a Windows or Mac computer. On a Mac, you will create a simple text file, while on a Windows computer, run the time date sync software, which is found on the memory of the device. This software also allows users to adjust the recording quality from HQ, XHQ, or PCM. You can also change the microphone sensitivity and VOS level and turn on voice activation. There is also an additional schedule recording feature allowing for complete control of the time you wish the device to be active for recording.
Even with the default setting, the Magnetic Mini Recorder is impressive and can pick up sound 40 feet away. The device does not make a noise when the battery gets low and will finalize and save what it is recording before running out of charge. Recharging the battery is twice as fast and only takes 1 hour to charge fully. The device can be recharged using the provided USB cable on any USB port or computer.
