To me, the colorful, painted azulejos that adorn the buildings in Lisbon add a unique dimension of art and creativity to the already stunning architecture found in this spectacular city. The tiles tell stories with vibrant hues and innovative designs that inspire all those lucky enough to come upon them. The design of the Lisbon Ring pays homage to the famed Portuguese azulejos through a strong square shape meant to resemble the tiles used to create these incredible mosaics.
