This striking purple variety from noted breeder Christian Bedard strongly resists the common diseases that can plague rose growers by lowering flower production and shortening blooming periods. Celestial Night, an offspring of Ebb Tide, yields lots of double-ruffled, 3–4" blooms of deep plum-purple on a hardy, rounded bush. The glossy but leathery-looking foliage is medium to dark green, so the plant's full and vibrant flowers can easily be seen from a distance.
