The clamp's ''workholding'' component attaches to the bench component with a single hex-drive flathead screw. It can be configured to hold a workpiece above the worksurface—either parallel or perpendicular to the worksurface's clamped edge—or alongside and in front of the worksurface. Switching between these clamping options is as easy as removing the hex screw, rearranging the top clamp on the bottom clamp and reinstalling the screw.
