In the 1960s, flying was not only reserved for daredevil fighters, a big group were amateur pilots and loved this peculiar hobby. They were flying for fun, not for war, but they still needed a very legible watches that could provide precious information in the cockpit. These tool watches appeal to the adventurer in me, I can't escape seeing them worn under a flight jacket while piloting an airplane in the glamorous 1960's.
