When Orris Absolute (80% Irones) went past six figures in cost per kilogram, Irone Alpha stepped up to takes it place in most fragrances. While it doesn't have the complexity of Orris Absolute (which is a blend of Irone Alpha, Irone Gamma and Irone Beta), it is incredibly beautiful, powerfully diffusive and radiant. Irone Alpha is sweet and fruity (towards a raspberry note) with woody and seedy nuances and a distinctly iris heart. There is no question at all: no perfume lab is complete without this material. It is pricey but a little goes a long way. Effective from traces so we also offer it at 10% dilution in DPG.
