In 2009, New Balance launched the 1906R as a tribute to the aesthetics of the millennial runner. After the runner celebrated a brilliant comeback with a thisisneverthat collabo, further general releases are now following. For the upper, New Balance relies on a familiar mix of mesh and synthetic leather overlays. Technical highlights of the runner include the characteristic NLock system and the striking heel counter. The M1906R shares the N-ergy outsole, ACTEVA LITE midsole and ABZORB SBS cushioning with the equally popular 2002R and 860 V2. New Balance has now given the runner a new look. Extra stitching, detached panels and the redesigned logo give the Runner a stylish distressed touch. The paneling on the toebox has also been adapted.
