Ukiyo, floating world. <p>The term ukiyo refers to a state of mind that emphasizes living in the moment, detached from the difficulties of life. </p> <p> </p> <p>In Japan, there is a brief period in spring when the sakura (cherry) blossoms are in full bloom. In a tradition known as "Hanami", the blossoming of the flowers as well as the change into the new season is celebrated. </p> <p>Born in Kagoshima in the shadow of the Sakurajima volcano, this gin is based on the traditional Japanese shochu spirit. </p> <p>When the high quality shochu is redistilled, the result is a smooth gin with a wonderfully soft mouthfeel. </p> <p> </p> <p>Botanicals: juniper, citrus, cherry blossom, ... </p> <p> </p>
