It also saves your school time and money because materials can be prepared in a fraction of the time compared to hand cutting. The patented roller design makes cutting fast and easy without straining your hands. Simply turn the handle and roll through as many as five dies in a single pass. Turn handle in the direction you want the die to go through machine. Depending on usage, the Die Tray and Roller must be replaced regularly. Average use requires replacement annually; heavier use will require more frequent replacement. You will know the tray will need to be replaced when it warps in the middle, when you hear a popping sound while cutting, or when you are not able to cut as many layers as expected. You will notice that a new roller is black. The roller wears down with use and needs to be replaced when the roller turns white and cutting performance is diminished. To extend life of dies, keep scraps of paper and chipboard out of the Die Tray. Rolling a die through while it is on top of scrap material, or purposely shimming under a die, causes the blades to push through back of die.
