Material losses during mixing and application will vary and must be taken into consideration. Calculate for moderately less coverage on bare, rough or sandblasted surfaces.<br> <br> To figure out the amount of paint you will require: Length x Width of surface = square footage x 2 (2 coats) divided by 400 square feet = Kits needed.<br> <br> <strong>SUGGESTED USES:</strong> Exterior, interior, anywhere a rugged protective coating is needed for your surface.<br> <br> <strong>LIMITATIONS:</strong> Do not apply if material, substrate or ambient temperature is below 40 degrees F or above 95 degrees F.<br> <br> <strong>FINISH:</strong> Glossy. Lower temperatures &amp; higher humidity will slow down dry times.<br> <br> <strong>RECOMMENDED REDUCER:</strong> If desired material can be thinned using 6-8 ounces of Xylene per 2 gallon mixture<br> <br> <strong>RESISTANCE TO:</strong> Chemicals resistance, abrasion, oils, grease, rust, corrosion, mildew, chipping and fading.<br> <br> <strong>SURFACE PREPARATION:</strong> Concrete surfaces must be cleaned using a solution of 50% muriatic acid mixed with 50% water. After surface has been rinsed, follow up with a mixture of TSP powder (Tri Sodium Phosphate) and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow surface to dry for 24 hours.<br> <br> <strong>NOTE:</strong> If you are coating steel or wood then skip the first step and only clean the area thoroughly with TSP and water and allow to dry for 24 Hours.<br> <br> <strong>APPLICATION:</strong> Brush, spray or roller. Recommended application is roll on method.<br> <br> <strong>Rollers:</strong> 1/2" lambskin, mohair or phenolic core roller. Keep roller wet. Roll in one direction, rewet, then cross roll. If necessary, product can be reduced as needed with Xylene for easier rollout performance.<br> <br> <strong>Spray: </strong>Conventional air gravity feed 59-70 PSI, Tip size .055-.070, Airless 2200-2500 PSI, Tip size .013-.017. Product can be reduced with xylene for proper flow out and performance. For air spray reduce with 25% with enamel reducer (xylene).<br> <br> After applying 1st coat wait a minimum of 24 hours before applying second coat. 2 Coats are highly recommended for optimal product performance, durability and lifespan.<br> <br> <strong>POT LIFE:</strong> Approximately 3 hours once 1 gallon of Part A and 1 gallon of part B are mixed together. Higher temperatures and humidity can shorten pot life.<br> <br> <strong>MIXING:</strong> Separately mix both Part A and Part B either mechanically or by hand for at least 5 minutes each, making sure that all solid material is mixed thoroughly. Then combine 1 gallon of Part A and 1 Gallon of Part B together and mix mechanically or by hand for at least 5 minutes. Allow combined material to sit and induct for 5-7 minutes and then begin applying the coating. Only mix the amount of material you expect to use within a 3 hour time frame.<br> <br> <strong>CLEAN UP:</strong> Xylene for equipment.<br> <br> Epoxy Ultra is a 2 part epoxy commercial strength epoxy coating that is designed for all applications of concrete, steel, wood and masonry.
