Throughout history Orange Blossom flowers have symbolized purity, innocence, chastity and fertility. In 1684 Louis XIV transferred from Fontainebleau to Versailles and, fond of their sweet scent and gorgeous white flowers, installed his Orangerie. He insisted that even in the middle of January baskets of orange blossoms perfume the rooms.
