Are the Eartune Fidelity tips universal? Works with any IEM? No, the Eartune Fidelity tips are not universal. Even if some IEM’s appear to share similar nozzle sizes, we recommend to order the Eartune Fidelity tips specifically for each IEM. Can I submit a different IEM that is not listed? What’s the process? Yes, for most IEM’s. If you don't see your IEM, click HERE. How long will the Eartune Fidelity tips last? The Eartune Fidelity tips are made with medical grade silicone, which has a usable life of 5 years. However, many of our customers are on their 7th and 8th year of usage. How do I clean the Eartune Fidelity tips? Gently rinse the Eartune Fidelity tips with warm water and mild neutral soap. Then rinse with clean water and let dry completely before use. How should I carry the Eartune Fidelity tips? Each pair of the Eartune Fidelity tips come with a carrying case. When not in use, we recommend storing them away in the provided carrying case. No, Eartune Fidelity tips are made with medical grade silicone which will expand and contract minimally with different climate. Should I visit a hearing specialist before getting an ear impression or purchasing Eartune Fidelity tips? Not necessarily. If you have a medical need pertaining to your ears, then see the appropriate doctor or specialist. Otherwise, you can make an appointment and the licensed individual will assess your ear canal during the impression appointment. My ears are itchy. what can I do? Itchy ears can mean multiple things. The first thing you want to do is to clean your Eartune Fidelity tips with soap and water to ensure their cleanliness. Don’t use rubbing alcohol or harsh detergents as they can break down the silicone over time. My Eartune Fidelity tips hurt my ear, what should I do? A little bit of soreness is normal in the first week of wearing the Eartune Fidelity tips. Your ear canal should get accustomed to them within a week. Tech-care Ear-gel is a water-soluble gel that is safe to use in the ear canal. It’s meant to help the custom tips slide into your ear canal easily. Not everyone needs it so try to insert the Eartune Fidelity tips without it first and only use as needed. How should I use the Tech-care Ear-gel? Place a small amount of Tech-care Ear-gel around the tip (do not cover the sound bore) to help lubricate it for insertion. Will I need to use Tech-care Ear-gel every time?
