Coral (also known as Game Piece 1) is a 11 ⅞ in. long (~30 cm) piece of 4 in. diameter Schedule 40 Cellular (Foam) Core PVC pipe. Coral has a 4-in. (~102 mm) inside diameter and a 4½-in. (~11 cm) outside diameter. The Coral sold here is from the same batch and manufacturer used on official fields. For optimal shipping price, buy Coral in multiples of 14. Algae (also known as Game Piece 2) was available as a preorder for this season, and each team has received two of Game Piece 2 in the Season-Specific box from FIRST. Each Algae is a 16 in. (41 cm) ±½ in. (~12 mm) diameter rubber playground ball. While similar items are available from other sources, the only place to get the official Algae is in the Kit of Parts or from AndyMark. Algae are being offered as single items with quantity discounts, with a maximum discount for a box of 20, which is two more than a full field. Algae Measuring Jig V2 This is a FIRST Approved Alternative for checking ball inflation using the same procedure that will be used on competition fields. This Jig has been cost and production time optimized without losing functionality. Ignore the instructions on the ball in favor of this jig for accurate sized Algae.
