Side Patch Artwork: "Home Plate" inspired patch shape that pictures a scene with the Oakland skyline and iconic Bay Bridge in the background. With the Oakland Athletics most likely on their way out of The Town, I wanted to integrate their famous slogan "Rooted in Oakland" into the design so there are details of the Oaktown tree extended by its roots into the grass in the forefront. The front features "Stomper the Elephant", the A's original mascot from 1902 - 1955 that first came about as a response to media claiming they would make no money, calling them a "Big White Elephant" (shoutout John McGraw). Underbrim Embroidery: "Oaktown” font inspired by the Athletics modern word logo.
