VinciBot is a programmable robot designed for primary and secondary school children from the ages of 8 upwards. Initially, they were mainly used by students in Years 3 to 5. When we introduced them to Year 1 and 2 students, we were pleasantly surprised by how easily the younger students adapted to using the robots. By the end of Term 2, Year 6 students were given a robot challenge map to complete, using the VinciBots, and found them equally suitable for their level.Due to their popularity and ease of use, we have ordered an additional 12 robots to make a full class set of 24, so students will no longer need to share.The robots have been primarily used in Maths lessons, focusing on directions, angles, degrees, area, including shape drawing.
