GMK Prepress

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) inks are printers' building blocks. Hulking constructs of steel and composites, which can weigh more than 10 tons, apply those colors to paper at unbelievable speeds. One error can ruin thousands of pages. Before ink meets roller, a team of artists and engineers must eliminate design mistakes and account for all variables — even humidity. GMK Prepress commemorates that process.

Check out the Prepress Deskmats.

industry terms

Printing jargon has been around for thousands of years, so anachronisms abound. Prepress' designer selected a few accessible terms for his set, including "Bleed." Violence isn't involved — bleed is simply the area that will be trimmed from a page, which can also have some excess ink applied (ink bleeds after all).

y-cpkeyboard sleeves

Y-CP Keyboards is the brainchild of long-time Redditor u/yasintahir, who runs regular group buys for custom sleeves.
