I now live in Alcalde New Mexico. I have always enjoyed woodworking. I retired in 2016 and I taught myself how to turn wood on a lathe. I use wood I gather from the mountains of Northern New Mexico. Pine, Aspen, Cedar, and Pinon. I enjoy uncovering the hidden beauty under the outer layers of the wood. I accentuate the natural beauty of wood with inlays of Turquoise, Paua (New Zealand abalone) and red coral. I would like for anyone that looks at my bowls to see the beauty of what once lied beneath.
