These Alpha-Cellulose Double Mats feature an acid-free, lignin-free core to instantly elevate any piece. The primary color (top mat) has a setback opening to reveal the secondary color (bottom mat) and the standard color “reveal” of the bottom mat is 1⁄4” on all sides. To ensure ultimate conservation, no recycled materials are used in our Conservation Double Mats. Conservation Double Mat Details: Our acid-free mat boards are sourced from Crescent’s industry-leading selection, ensuring consistency and precision from color to thickness. Standard mats are available in 4-ply unless otherwise noted. Conservation quality matboard is acid-free and lignin-free throughout the surface, with a white core and backing, unless otherwise noted. Mats are bevel cut at the opening unless otherwise specified. All Conservation Double Mats meet the conservation standards set by the Fine Art Trade Guild. Mats are buffered with calcium carbonate to an alkaline reserve of 3-5% pH 8.5-9.5. We have curated the top sizes and colors within our assortment.
