Albert Lee HSS Electric Guitar - Cosmos

The Albert Lee Goes HSS Offered for the first time by Ernie Ball Music Man, the versatile signature 6-string of venerable guitarist Albert Lee has been upgraded to an even more flexible HSS format. Featuring a DiMarzio Custom humbucker in the bridge and two custom-wound Seymour Duncan single-coils in the middle and neck, the Albert Lee HSS allows you to navigate virtually any vintage-tinged sonic avenue. The Albert Lee HSS's unique mid-century silhouette is an attention grabber from first glance, too, and the universal appeal of its sleekly sculpted roasted maple neck and fingerboard is equally inviting. Plus, it's fitted with an EBMM vintage-style tremolo and backed by Schaller locking tuners, leaving no expressive endeavor off the table. A humble king of the stage and studio for the better part of 70 years, Albert Lee is widely hailed as a true "musician's musician" — and with his HSS signature model in hand, Albert's preferred sound and style are yours to make your own. Sharp signature look with an enviable feel Albert Lee has enough 6-string credits to fill multiple lifetimes, from his involvement in bands like the Crickets, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, and Emmylou Harris and the Hot Band to backing countless all-time greats such as Eric Clapton, The Everly Brothers, and Dolly Parton. In partnership with EBMM, Albert Lee's signature HSS guitar smoothly translates a sound, command, and style befitting of a true titan of session work and staunch stage support. One look at the exclusive, angular profile of the ash-bodied Albert Lee HSS is enough to command the attention of audience members and fellow guitarists alike. Its bold shape is met by a 5-point bolt-on roasted maple neck, featuring a sculpted joint, a C-shaped profile, and EBMM’s gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax blend finish for effortless navigation of every register. Its roasted maple fingerboard receives the same finishing treatment and is shaped to a 10-inch radius, creating a versatile playing curvature for both rhythm and lead work. HSS pickups: a first for the Albert Lee This unprecedented HSS-configured signature evolves Albert’s widely regarded stage and studio tone into a full-bodied package. A DiMarzio Custom humbucker at the bridge — the same model found aboard EBMM’s ever-popular Axis guitars — is voiced for classic and contemporary dual-coil delivery that heats up with ease. The DiMarzio Custom is the perfect complement to the adjacent Seymour Duncan custom-wound single-coils in the middle and rhythm positions. For added versatility, the Albert Lee HSS boasts a 5-way pickup selector and master controls to dial in your tone, perfect for blending beautifully into the mix or standing out and stealing the spotlight. It’s all backed by EBMM’s active preamp, promising a powerfully dependable and professionally refined platform for a wealth of sounds, from old-school chicken-pickin’ and rockabilly to the blues and beyond. Sleek, player-preferred appointments Whether you’re taking the stage or tracking your next EP, Sweetwater guitarists agree that the Albert Lee HSS is outfitted to provide premier playability on every level. It starts with a set of Schaller M6-IND locking machine heads and a melamine nut, ensuring both flawless tuning stability and uniform string response. Lining the fingerboard are 22 high-profile, medium-width stainless steel frets, promising smooth, effortless expression with lasting durability to match. Likewise, the Albert Lee HSS’s hardened-steel EBMM vintage tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles bolsters your creative freedom, enhances sustain, and offers excellent setup flexibility. Finalized with chrome hardware, classic skirt knobs, and glow-in-the-dark side markers that neighbor 1/8-inch dot fingerboard inlays, the Albert Lee HSS never loses sight of sound, substance, or style.
