Warwick: a triumph of German engineering Hans-Peter Wilfer founded the family-owned Warwick brand in 1982. Since then, Warwick has spread globally with endorsers like John Entwistle of The Who, Adam Clayton of U2, Robert Trujillo of Metallica, Bootsy Collins, P-Nut of 311, and many more spanning any style you can imagine. Warwick takes pride in channeling inspiration from classic German instrument makers and marrying it with execution and production rooted in modern German engineering techniques. Warwick boasts worldwide recognition but maintains artisan output with only a few thousand Pro Series basses made each year. The forward-thinking company also takes pride in its eco-friendly measures. Warwick was one of the early adopters of FSC sustainable wood practices and even put their extra wood scraps to use as fuel for green energy on-site at their plant in Germany.
