Headway 38120 100a Copper Busbars

Here are Headway 38120 copper busbars. These are very good quality busbars that are nickel coated to protect against corrosion. Also having the copper nickel coated allows you to connect to aluminum without causing a corrosive reaction. Each busbar is rated at 100 amps and they are sized to fit perfectly in the 38120 holders which we also have here at Battery Hookup. These are 1/16" thick x 1/2" wide x 2 1/8" long. Distance from the center of each hole is 1 5/8". Check the photos for details and check the chart below. You can pull up to 157 amps continuous to a 60 degree Celsius rise but we always recommend sizing your busbars to 30 degree Celsius rise ratings which would be 103 amps. If you want to increase amps you can always double stack the busbars. With the 4s2p setup shown in the 2nd photo we were able to start a car and that was just using 1 layer of busbars. You can draw a lot of amps in short bursts but if you are building a car starter battery we recommend using double the amount of busbars. As you can see in the photos of the pack we built they fit perfectly. A 4s2p 12v pack uses 14 busbars. These work great with our headway cell holders!
