Pelaski

"Spending my entire childhood in the Arabian desert made every Summer trip to Latvia magical. I felt like a tiny forest fairy running through trees, smelling the flowers, and staring at moss. Leaving the desert behind the explore the forests of my country was incredible. The Pelaski (Yarrow) is a flower that I kept seeing on my Summer trips, and it quickly became nostalgic. As a family, we'd collect them for medicinal tea, and during the Summer Solstice, all Latvians would come together to make flower braids, play, and appreciate nature.I feel really happy knowing that what grows next to my door can cure a cold, or seeing wild plants grow rampant in a city. I'm slowly realising that medicine grows everywhere."- Sibilla Pelne-Strautmane
