<h1>G1033X 20" 5 HP Helical Cutterhead Planer</h1> <h2>A production-level planer to handle your toughest everyday use.</h2> <p>We took our <a href=" https://www.grizzly.com/products/grizzly-20-5-hp-planer/g1033z" target="_blank">G1033Z </a> 20" 5 HP Planer and made it better by including a helical cutterhead. <p>This planer is designed for heavy-duty use and can process large volumes of wood quickly and accurately. <p>The inserts on the 4-row helical cutterhead sit at a slight angle to the workpiece for smooth shearing cuts, minimized tearout, a smoother finish, and operating at lower noise levels. The 92 indexable carbide inserts can each be rotated three times to expose new, sharp cutting edges. <p>The solid cast-iron, extension tables make the total planer bed length just short of 5' long! They are precision-ground to a mirror-like finish for ultra-smooth lumber feeding. <p>The adjustable bed rollers keep the planer feeding smoothly. The feed rollers are driven by a two-speed gearbox at 16 FPM or 28 FPM. <p>The G1033X incorporates a safety magnetic switch for overload and power failure protection. The power controls are mounted on an attached pedestal for easy access. <p>The power is transferred from the 5 HP motor to the cutterhead by a triple v-belt design.
