Safranal is an incredibly high impact material that is felt in traces in a scent (as you can see by our Attar of Three Roses demonstration formula below. The IFRA restriction on this material is rather tragically strict (0.012% in your finished product) but because of its high impact it is still our first choice for a saffron note. If you need to boost it you can use Safraleine which has no restriction in use and is, in its own way, a beautiful product. Safranal smells every bit like saffron (crocus stamens). It is medicinal, herbal, phenolic and leathery.
