Gamma Decalactone is a key material used for recreating gardenia and osmanthus flowers in which it naturally appears. This lactone is creamy and coconut with nuances of peach like its better known counterpart Gamma Undecalactone; gamma decalactone can be used in its place (or in addition) for a slightly different take on the classic lactonic peach note. This material has a more complex and even vaguely leafy quality. This is a wonderful lactone for creamy modern gourmand fragrances and, as you would expect, it blends extremely well with Vanellia™, Vanillin “Signature”, Vanillin Natural ex Clove, and of course the famous Persicol base.
