We use domestically produced No. 4 canvas, valued for its strength and the way it becomes more supple with use. The hardware comes from a foundry in downtown Tokyo, and the leather is domestically sourced, tanned with tannins extracted from mimosa bark. Every step—sewing, painting, washing, and assembly—is done carefully by hand. This season, instead of our standard natural canvas, the bag is offered in a gray version. The result is a familiar silhouette with a subtle, refreshed feel. The paint color on the bottom is available in 10 options, with 5 stencil designs to choose from. The shoulder strap is removable.
