The East African coast lies on the Indian Ocean and was the center of the ancient spice trade. Traveling spice traders stopped in Kenya to relax and enjoy coffee mixed with spices.
We combine ground medium-roast coffee with fresh, flavorful spices -- cinnamon verum (also known as "true cinnamon," and markedly different from commonplace royal cinnamon), cardamom, and cloves -- sourced from small-holder farmers in Tanzania by our friends at Burlap and Barrel.
